Unique ID property

Use a unique IDs property to more efficiently track tasks and reduce duplicate entries.

Unique ID

  • Unique IDs can be used to enhance communication across teams, and can be used to sync status updates in GitHub

  • Add the Unique ID property to a Notion database by adding a new column and selecting "ID".

    • Optionally, assign a custom prefix to further identify tasks

  • A database can only have one unique ID property, and once an ID is used, it won't be used again to ensure accuracy and consistency
