If you work in a software development team, you’ve likely faced some of the following questions:
1. I’m new to the organization or team, what do I need to learn, and in what order?
2. I want or need to learn something, who can mentor me?
3. I want to find others who are also learning the same thing so we can do it together.
4. I want to identify people with certain skills for an initiative.
5. I want to explore teams that need skills not required in my current team and that I am interested in developing.
6. I want to learn about a topic but don’t know where to start based on my current level and aspirations. What are the most specific and concrete resources I can use instead of an extensive list of books?
7. What skills does my organization expect me to develop?
8. What skills do my organization, area, and team expect me to develop?
9. I’ve completed the learning path for a skill or technology, where can I share the resources?
10. I want to change roles, what skills do I need to learn?
11. I want to draft a job offer, what skills should I prioritize according to my team’s needs and the role’s requirements?

To address these needs, we have designed an Apprentice Program at Audiense that aims to be:
• An individual growth program.
• A curriculum design for areas, teams, or roles.
• A repository of curated resources on skills or technologies.
• A team competencies matrix.
• A skills inventory.
